Auto-major Tata Motors today launched the latest upgraded sports utility vehicle variant 'Tata Safari Storme', at a staring price of Rs 9.98 lakh (Ex-showroom Ranchi). 'We were first to introduce SUV's in India. We now leverage our experience and customer understanding, creating an ideal SUV for today's motorists, who desire in their vehicle a perfect combination of versatility and luxury,' Company Regional Product Manager Utility Vehicles (East) Reetesh Vashist told press here. The vehicle will be available in Tata Motors 282 dealerships and 33 exclusive utility vehicle dealerships. Safari Storme is powered by a 2.2L VariCOR engine and delivers 140 PS Power and 320 NM Torque. According to Tata Motors the new vehicle offers fuel average of 14kmpl in the 4X2 variant while for the 4X4 variant it is 13.2kmpl.

'The Tata Safari Storme is going to be the preferred choice among all age groups.The customer today is looking for style, technology and performance. Safari Storme is the best combination of these attributes,' Mr Vashist said. The new vehicle will be available in four variants, LX, EX, VX (4X2, 4X4) and will come in seven colours with prices starting from Rs 9.98 lakh and going upto 13.84 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Ranchi). The Tata Safari Storme comes with a warranty of three years or 1,00,000 kms whichever is earlier and is extendable upto four years or 1,50,000 kms.
